May's news arrives with no time to spare! What a bumper month is has been too with not 1 but 2 bank holidays and a half term to boot, I hope it’s been a good one for you all too. We've just returned home from a lovely mini-break to an ‘off the grid’ glamping site run by 'Canvas & Stars' near Lewes. We only stayed 1 night, but sometimes, that’s all you need, particularly with 2 teenagers in tow. Just enough time to enjoy life from a different perspective and appreciate the 'Simple Things' (as you can see from my photo!)
There is something quite magical about building a campfire, toasting marshmallows on it and sleeping under canvas, all without the need to even lift a solitary tent peg! I appreciate it’s more expensive, but if you can stretch to it, it is well worth it in my opinion. We had great fun playing frisbee and badminton, burning the sausages (par for the course) and the girls even enjoyed washing up al fresco?! … maybe that’s where I’m going wrong?! Before heading home, we fed the chickens had a hoot being chased around by the cutest baby pigs I've ever seen before buying fresh farm eggs to be enjoyed back home -
truly eggcellent, sorry couldn't resist!
What have I been up to this month?
This month truth be known, I've been a little tied up finalising the speaker line up for a client conference at the NEC in Birmingham with my freelancing hat on, however, worry ye not, I have been in touch with some wonderful properties in Europe for 2020 for Gin & Yin Retreats, which I hope to be able to announce very soon - along with an evening with a difference, collaborating with a 'Gin' mixologist using an ingredient which seems to be going down a storm in the wellness industry - fingers crossed I'll be able to announce it very soon.
So, what's coming up next ....

Well ladies, it's Friday toot toot to that - time to finally sit down and savour the week - a moment to reflect on all that we have achieved and to think about what we're grateful for. Remember, in order to make our wishes come true, we need to book it and make it happen - that's the only way - here's a lovely shot of Cathy & Sue enjoying a post yoga G&T on my retreat to Marbella last year.
Gin chin to that.
