This stunning barefoot chic retreat property and its location tick all the boxes for a wonderful Gin & Yin Retreat.  Only a 40-minute transfer from Lisbon Airport, Mr & Mrs Smith describes this place as “the stuff barefoot beach holidays are made of”  which is absolutely true.

Located along the Santa Cruz coastline, not only is this place stunning to look at, but it also has emotional and sustainable tourism at its heart too – built using materials from the former buildings and powered by renewable energy (geothermal and solar).  Their menus are inspired by the organic produce from the kitchen garden, plus the catch of the day, paired with a G&T (did I say there's a gin distillery just down the road, I mean could this get any better?) or a crisp glass of dry white, well why not indeed after a hard day of yoga, sunbathing and exploring.  Single-use plastics aren’t allowed, as you’d expect – good job we’ll have our ‘Gin & Yin’ water bottles.  The Atlantic Ocean is also only a short walk through the sand dunes, where we’ll listen to the waves while enjoying a picnic lunch and there’s an Ayurvedic spa, a Turkish bath and a sauna as well as an outdoor pool (we also have our own private pools at our villas too) – what more could we need?  Here's a guideline of what we'll get up to - please note this may be subject to some minor changes, a final confirmation of  the itinerary will be sent to everyone prior to the retreat, along with a helpful checklist:

Day One - Sunday

Check-in from 4 pm - Welcome Introductions, Tea & Cake

Unpack, take a dip and relaahhx

Approx. 6 pm - Restorative Yoga Session in the Meditation Garden

Post-Yoga Welcome G&T and Supper

Day Two - Monday

Rise & Shine Yoga (not too early remember this is also an opportunity to rest)

Slow breakfast followed by a mini-wellness workshop (part 1)

Late morning and early afternoon at your leisure - time to yourself to just be, to swim, indulge in a good book, enjoy being pampered in the spa, write in your journal, or simply sleep in the sunshine and recharge

Light Lunch

Tour of the organic ‘Kitchen Garden’ followed by Supper in the Garden Dome

Day Three - Tuesday

Guided Coastal Hike

Start the day with our best foot forward and enjoy a wonderful hike along the Atlantic Coast

Return for a well-earnt breakfast followed by a mini-wellness discussion (part 2)

Afternoon SUP Session (Stand Up Paddleboard) for beginners

Drinks & Supper at Noah’s Beach House

Day Four - Wednesday

Final Reflective Heart Opening Yoga Session

Brunch

12 noon - Check out and transfers back to the airport

What’s the Cost?

3 nights at £950 pp based on 2 ladies sharing an en-suite twin room and £1,150 for single occupancy en-suite room in a double bed.  Please note, sorry to state the obvious, but if you book a ‘sharing room’ you will need to find someone to share with you.

What’s Included:

3 breakfasts, 3 light lunches and 3 evening meals; 3 yoga classes, wellness workshops, a guided hike and a beginner-friendly SUP (stand-up paddle boarding) session.  Welcome, G&Ts; Group airport transfers to and from Lisbon Airport at approx. 12.30pm-ish (TBC once everyone has their flights) on Sunday 25th September and a return departure transfer from Areias do Seixo at 1.30 pm.

What’s Not Included:

Your flights, along with any additional drinks, and snacks treatments booked at the Spa.  Whilst checkout is at midday on Weds 28th Sept, you are more than welcome to leave your bags at the reception at Noah’s Beach House (which is a short transfer from Arias do Seixo) and enjoy lunch and a late swim there, however, this will be at your own cost along with the transfer back to the airport, which is approx. 95 Euros per taxi.

Flights:

Lisbon is a popular destination, so flights are frequent from many UK airports.  Personally, I'm taking the opportunity to explore Lisbon first arriving on Friday 23rd Sept on BA0518 - leaving from London Heathrow T5 at 12.50 pm which lands in Lisbon at 3.35 pm - let me know if this also appeals to you.  Alternatively, some ladies are meeting us at Lisbon Airport on Sunday 25th at around midday-ish to catch the complimentary transfer across to the retreat property - there will also be a complimentary return transfer back to the airport around 1.30 pm on Wednesday 28th Sept.  Some of us are flying back on the BA0519 into Heathrow which leaves at 4. 25pm and lands at 7.10 pm back into Heathrow.  If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, you're welcome to do so, however, the transfers will be at your own cost of approx. 95 Euros per taxi.

How Can I Secure My Place and What’s the Cancellation Policy?

A deposit of £250.00 secures your place on this wonderful adventure.  I will treat cancellations sympathetically, however as spaces are limited and subject to booking charges, the following charges must apply.  If you cancel more than 12 weeks before the start of the retreat: 100% refund minus the deposit.  8 - 12 weeks before the start of the retreat will be subject to 50% refund minus the deposit and if you cancel less than 8 weeks before the start of the retreat no refund can be given.  Once payment has been received, you'll receive an email confirming your place along with confirmation of when the balance is due.  If you’d like to send payments in instalments to keep this retreat viable, that’s also more than fine, just email me at hello@ginandyinretreats.com and we can work on a plan.
