Hello ladies and a very warm welcome to my new readers and retreaters this month too – great to have you on board.
Well-ness-me, how lovely it is to fill our cups with some Spring sunshine. Feeling the warmth of the sun on my face has certainly lifted my spirits (not that I need an excuse as most of you know!). Joking aside, as the new season unfolds, I start to feel a little brighter with a renewed sense of energy, as I busy myself filling my jugs and mugs with garden daffs, such an easy pick me up and pack away my ‘comfort clothes’ (not so easy, I’m quite the hoarder) and I invested in some much-needed specs … I’m reaching an age where I’m becoming acutely aware of how important it is to see more clearly … on so many levels … but that’s another newsletter altogether! They also help me to sort my diary out, making time for what’s important - family, friends and me time.... oh and more retreats and supper clubs and socials to organise of course, as they too also make me feel happy. I hope the changing season prompts you to think a little more clearly about what you want for yourself too, as we're typically very good at making sure everyone else is happy, but not always quite so good about filling our own happy tanks - now is the perfect time to make new plans for yourself.
So what's happened this month?
It’s been another busy month at Gin & Yin HQ – firstly we celebrated ‘International Women’s Day’ with a stunning ‘Touring Yoga Mat’ GIVEAWAY thanks to Kati Kaia @katikaia – Kati designs and makes these beauties herself - the lucky winner was
Vicki Knights @vkpersonalbranding - Vicki hosts some great podcasts too called shoot.edit.chat.repeat - I also ran my second ‘Sell Out’ Supper Club on the theme of ‘Eat Yourself Happy’ in collaboration with the lovely ladies at The Retreat Kitchen in Richmond again and the chaps at ‘Thames Ditton Gin’ – what a fun night we had, kicking off with a quiz, 3 course mood-boosting supper and great G&Ts.. well of course. Photos are now up on my Gin & Yin Facebook page if you’d like to see what we got up. I also visited Kate, the co-founder of ‘The Gin Kitchen’ a great little distillery run by 2 mums down in Surrey – watch this space for a wild walk, yin yoga and gin tasting afternoon. My G&Y bags were also filled with gin-themed goodies at a ‘Sip & Savour’ Mini-Gin Fest on Thursday too - 7 local distillers + 70 odd gin-fanatics, what a cracking night it was, well done to Cara at Gin & Interiors and Gin with Sarah B. for organising it and thanks to @savageinteriors for this great photo xx
