Thank goodness it’s a Leap Year … I've even had the gift of an extra 24 hours to get this newsletter out to you lovely people and I'm still sending it out at the 11th hour, when will I learn?! I hope you're all keeping safe and well and a lovely warm hello and welcome to my new retreaters and newsletter readers too x
Well there goes another month and a blustery and wet one at that! February felt like a long month to me, but on reflection, I did enjoy snuggling up and taking cover from the storms. I didn't, however, enjoy trying to push my neighbours tree off the road and back into his garden in the torrential rain, where is Geoff Capes when you need him! I also had a cheeky half-term week away (minus the kids!) in the sun with my husband, which was bloody brilliant. Now that I’m back though, I do believe Spring is in the air and feel uplifted to see the buds unfurling and the daffodils standing bright and proud against the wind! Hot cross buns are also on the front shelves, my favourite – one-third butter to two-thirds bun yum ... hmm ... sounds a bit like a well crafted G&T too now that I think about it ... so many lovely synergies in life.
What have I been up to lately at Gin & Yin HQ?
The photos above were taken at the Sweaty Betty Shop in Kingston last Tuesday - a fun night with some top tunes thanks to my pal Fran aka DJ Good Night from The House of Renaissance, awesome Yoga with the groovy Roisin at Concrete Jungle Yoga, well crafted Gin & Tonics thanks to cool Kit at Twickenham Gin and yumalicious pancakes from the sweet team at Sweaty Betty - what a hoot!
Bring om the next one - watch this space!

Apologies in advance for this lovely image, but I took this little book called 'Do/ PAUSE/ - You are not a To Do List' by Robert Poynton with me on my half-term pause - in it Robert talks about the benefits and the value of a 'pause' and how pausing continues to nourish you, even when it's behind you - Only 2 rooms now left on my Restorative Mountain Retreat to Marbella from 17th - 20th Sept at Shanti-Som, if you'd like to plan a 'pause' it would be lovely to have you with us - I can assure you, the benefits go beyond just the 3 days away - full details on my website.
Thanks for reading to the v. bottom. Keep well and as Robert says ... "there is more to life than getting things done"
