Join us for a wonderful escape to one of Italy’s most unspoilt and picturesque, regions. This hilltop retreat takes place in Le Marche in Italy, only a short 35-minute transfer from Ancona Airport. Nestled between the dramatic Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, you will find Villa Olivo, a stylish and elegant retreat property with stunning views, a dedicated yoga studio, heated infinity pool, a fire pit and a gym (heaven forbit you should you feel the need). It’s going to be a struggle to leave this place and explore but explore we must! All yoga levels welcome, including complete beginners and remember everything is ‘optional’ on my kind of retreat, although I hope you’ll love the sound of it all.
Wednesday 5th May
Welcome, check in & light lunch.
Unpack, relax, settle in and take in the wonderful sea view.
Restorative yoga class with Lisa Dunn.
(Lisa is a wonderfully compassionate yoga teacher and film producer no less!)
Post yoga gin talk & tasting with a local gin distiller - followed an Italian pizza soiree.
Well, when in Italy why not indeed.
Thursday 6th May
Introduction to breathwork followed by a rejuvenating morning yoga session.
Continental breakfast and mini wellness discussion (Part 1).
Time to yourself, to just be – to swim, indulge in a good book, treat yourself to a massage, write in your journal, or simply sleep, with a light lunch in between.
Time to roll up our sleeves for a traditional pasta making workshop, sauce
demonstration and tasting menu.
Friday 7th May
Breakfast followed by a guided bike ride to the local market and then on to the
coast with a coffee / gelato pit stop along the way.
Enjoy a light lunch and swim at the beach (lunch at own cost). Transport can also be arranged if you’d prefer to meet us at the beach.
Mini-wellness discussion (Part 2) back at the villa.
Short sunset meditation, followed by an introduction to Katonah Yoga®
Tonight, we’ll enjoy a typical Marchigiana meal.
Saturday 8th May
Final reflective yoga session followed by a continental breakfast & check out
Transfers can be arranged to catch the 10.45 flight back to Stansted (see flight info below), however, there is also an option to catch the later flight at 20.30 back into London Gatwick and leave your bags at the Villa while you explore a little more at your leisure.
3 nights’ accommodation in either a twin or double en-suite room; transfers to and from the airport (based on arriving and departing around the same times as the flights detailed below); 3 breakfasts; 2 lunches; 3 evening meals (including authentic pasta making workshop and gin tasting with a local gin distiller); 2 glasses of wine / non-alcoholic drinks per evening meal; 4 yoga sessions; 1 guided bike ride; 2 mini wellness workshops and use of the indoor spa.
What’s Not Included:
Return flights to Ancona Airport. Any treatments taken at the villa, or lunch when we’re out on Friday, along with any additional drinks or snacks taken at Villa Olivo during our stay.
What’s the Cost?
3 nights at £975 pp based on 2 ladies sharing an en-suite twin room. Or if you’re seeking a little privacy and space for yourself, I also have 2 double en-suite rooms at £1,300 pp based on single occupancy.
How Can I Secure My Place?
In order to book your place on this Italian retreat, I will require a deposit of £200.00pp which is non-refundable if you change your mind, however, if I need to cancel / postpone the retreat due to COVID, £150 will be refunded to you and £50 retained by Gin & Yin to cover costs. Once payment has been received, I will email you to confirm your place along with confirmation of when the balance is due. Also if you’d like to send payments to me in instalments to keep this retreat viable, that’s absolutely fine too, just drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
These flights are from London however, other airports do also fly to Ancona. If you’d like to come from Weds - Sat – these options are currently available via Skyscanner - dept Weds 5th May from Stansted to Ancona, Italy (approx. 2hr 15mins) landing 09.40. Returning on Sat 8th May on either the 10.45 back into Stansted or there’s an option to dept on the later flight at 20.30 with Easyjet which arrives back into London Gatwick at 21.50. While we will need to check out of Villa Olivo, we can leave our bags there during the day to collect later). These flights are currently advertised from £56.00 return with hand luggage only (as advertised on 24/7/20) - If however you’d like to make the most of it and arrive the day before (as a few of us are) we’re booked on the FR124 dept Tues 4th May from Stansted at 13.05 arriving into Ancona at 16.20. For this 1 night, we’ll be staying 5 mins from the Villa at a small hotel that has nice rooms, a pool and restaurant (typical Italian Trattoria) for around €60-90 per night depending on the style of room. If this is of interest to you too, please let me know and I’ll book you a room too.
Optional Extra for Saturday: If you’d also like to enjoy a full day experience, including wine tasting at 2 local vineyards with olive oil tasting, a traditional lunch and transfers back to the airport for €180 pp, let me know and I can also book this for you.
